FAQ
How do I begin the process of ordering my wedding cake?
We recommend placing your order at least 4-6 months before your wedding date. For special event cakes 2-4 weeks in advance is always a good amount of time. We begin the process with a series of emails in which we discuss design details. We use these details to provide a preliminary quote. The next step is a tasting/consultation after which you will be provided with a final quote.
How much are your cakes?
Individual cake prices vary based on number of servings as well as the intricacy of your chosen cake design therefore; we cannot list a specific price. Our cakes start at $12 per serving and increased based on the intricacy and level of detail of the final design. After an initial tasting/consultation you will be provided with a proposal with a custom quote for the cost of your cake.
How do I place an order?
Fill out the inquiry form and we will respond with our availability and email you our Welcome & Pricing guide.
How do I secure my date?
All orders require a 50% non-refundable deposit at the time of order to hold the date, the balance is due one (1) month prior to delivery. Any orders placed with less than one month notice require payment in full at the time of ordering. There is a 4% processing fee on all credit card orders.
How many servings should I order?
We suggest ordering enough servings for 70% of your guests, as not everyone will have a slice of cake. Should you opt for cupcakes or other treats, you want to have over 100%, as more people will be likely to grab one of each type of dessert.
Are there any policies I should know about?
- Your order is not confirmed prior to receiving your signed contract and 50% non-refundable deposit. If those are not received within seven (7) business days of your quote, your date may become unavailable.
- Your final wedding cake designs/flavor selections needs to be in at least thirty (30) days before the event. Changes after this point will cannot be guaranteed, and may result in additional costs.
- If you cancel your order within five (5) business days of the event, your balance payment is still due.
How can I schedule a tasting/consultation?
After a series of emails discussing the details your wedding and cake design we provide a preliminary quote. Only then is a tasting/consultation scheduled. Tastings require a non-refundable $ 100 fee.
How can I prepare for my consultation?
We understand that not every bride was born knowing just what design, color and flavor she would like her wedding cake to be. For those who aren’t sure you can start by looking for ideas. Pinterest, Instagram and Google are some the most popular. Make note or save all the pictures that you really like or that resonates with you. Using this we can determine the styles that you like and help you create your ideal wedding cake. We also provide you with a cake design workbook to help guide you when designing your wedding cake.
